The 22litre is the largest sized inflatable buoyancy bag in our range designed for use inside the hull at the stern of kayaks with internal supporting pillars.
These 22litre bags are supplied as a pair and are designed to fit either side of these support pillars to provide additional buoyancy in this space
Made from incredibly tough PVC coated fabric, these bags are designed to be abrasion resistant and thanks to their high frequency welded seams, provide long service with minimal maintenance. At the rear of the bag seam an integrated brass eyelet provides a secure point for additional lashing of the airbag into the kayak – which can be made even easier with a RUK Sport Airbag Fitting Kit
These bags are designed as a specially shaped pillow type to eliminate the seams trying to capture more than 2 pieces of material – ensuring a very durable airtight seal and avoiding ‘corners’ in the seam which are prone to premature failure.
The shape is similar to a truncated cone which is wider across the horizontal than the depth on the vertical – ensuring that it is a very good fit to bow and stern sections of kayaks. They also incorporate a long inflation tube for easy inflation in position and an easy to use twist screw lock inflation / deflation valve.
